Poster Description: Green hydrogen has an important part to play in the decarbonization of a variety of hard-to-abate industries such as shipping, the production of steel and cement. Power2X will play a significant role in this effort and there are many areas of North America which offer a very promising mix of solar and wind resource that offers the attractive prospect of being able to optimize hybrid wind and solar plants, with or without energy storage, to provide power for green hydrogen and other green product derivatives such as green ammonia and e-methanol.
In this presentation Natural Power will focus on how hybrid plant design can be coupled with local siting constraints to provide a generating platform to power electrolyzers that can produce green hydrogen and its derivatives for use in a variety of P2X applications.
We will explain some of the fundamental design choices for mega-scale projects and investigate the current financial models particularly looking at how the P2X industry is likely to develop in the next few years under the stimulus of the Inflation Reduction Act.
