Mr. Hayes is a Principal Meteorologist and Project Manager with over 16 years of experience in the energy industry, conducting wind and solar energy assessments, real-time forecasting and time series modeling and consulting on extreme climate and weather impacts to energy supply and demand. Currently, he specializes in time series stochastic and energy variability analysis for variable energy resources with a focus on extreme weather risk identification for renewable resource integration studies for electric utilities, grid operators and hybrid project developers. Mr. Hayes works to streamline and improve data analysis processes through the development of efficient script-based tools and serves as a resource across multiple disciplines by providing expertise on extreme weather analysis, mesoscale modeling, solar time series modeling and climate and weather patterns. As an avid innovator, Mr. Hayes thrives on developing unique solutions for project developers, utilities and system operators to help them meet the challenges of the clean energy transition.
