Research Engineer
National Renewable Energy Laboratory
Genevieve Starke is a research engineer at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), working at the National Wind Technology Center. Her work focuses on the modeling, design, and control of wind-based hybrid energy systems, with a focus on clean hydrogen systems. She obtained her PhD from Johns Hopkins University in mechanical engineering where she focused on wind farm modeling and control. She enjoys researching complex systems both from a modeling and a controls standpoint. She is also developing high-fidelity validation platforms for hybrid energy systems at NREL to be used in control research validation.
