Gerard is a physicist with a strong theoretical background, holding a graduate degree in Physics with a specialization in Theoretical Physics from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Additionally, he pursued postgraduate studies in Data Science and Machine Learning at the Universitat de Barcelona (UB).
Since joining Vortex in 2021 as part of the R&D team, he has been actively involved in developing innovative products, from initial concept through to implementation. His work primarily revolves around Python and Bash for scripting and automation, as well as version control with Git and GitHub to ensure efficient collaboration and development workflows. His work also includes creating custom tools that enhance the functionality of existing products.
Today, his expertise lies in Data Analytics and Data Science. His journey at the intersection of physics and data science has equipped him with a problem-solving approach, allowing him to tackle challenges creatively and analytically.
